A: With the Starbucks® app open on your iPhone or Android device, and with Location Services activated, you will see a music link or a Now Playing Banner and an equalizer icon. Tapping the link, banner, or icon will take you to the digital music experience within the app, where you can ‘love' a song or add it to your Saved at Starbucks Spotify playlist.

Q: Do I need to be a My Starbucks Rewards member to view the music in the Starbucks app?
A: Yes, you will need to be My Starbucks Rewards members to enjoy the full benefits of this new digital music experience within the Starbucks app. To learn more about how to become a My Starbucks Rewards member, visit www.starbucks.com/rewards.

Q: How do I listen to a song I discovered at Starbucks when I leave the store?
A: Listen to songs you saved at Starbucks, or listen to a Starbucks-curated playlist, both inside and out of Starbucks stores, anytime on Spotify.

Q: Can I listen to music through the Starbucks app?
A: No. All listening happens on Spotify.

Q: What do you do with my account information?
A: When you authorize and connect your Spotify and Starbucks accounts, we store the connection so you can save songs that you hear in Starbucks stores to your Spotify account. We do not use your account information, nor do we store your password or Spotify account name.

Q: How does Starbucks know that I'm in a store?
A: We use your phone's location to determine where you are. You must have location services enabled or be logged in to wifi in a Starbucks store.

Q: What does Loving a song do?
A: Loving a song tells us that you want us to play more songs like that one. The Starbucks entertainment team will use this feedback to get even better at creating playlists we think you’ll love.

Q: Tell me more about the Saved at Starbucks playlist – can I delete songs? Can I add songs? Can I sort songs?
A: The Saved at Starbucks playlist is a special kind of playlist that can only be added to from your Starbucks app. You cannot sort, delete, or add songs from Spotify.

Q: Can I share what I’m listening to with my friends?
A: Use the standard OS share options that are built in to the experience to share what you are listening to on Spotify on Facebook and Twitter.

Q: Do I have to have a Spotify account to listen to Starbucks playlists?
A: Customers must have a Spotify Free or Spotify Premium account to access Starbucks playlists on Spotify. Customers can to choose to pay Spotify Premium to enjoy the additional benefits of Spotify, including saving songs and playlists for offline listening.

Q: Can I unlink my accounts? How?
A: Yes,o unlink your accounts go to settings in your Starbucks app and tap "linked accounts" then unlink Spotify.

Q: How do I know if my store offers this new digital music experience?
A: Ask your barista if your store is enabled to host the experience.

Q: Is wifi required?
A: Network connectivity is required, but wifi is not. You can use your carrier's data connection and enable location services.

Q: How does a customer locate a song they’ve saved within the Spotify app?
A: In the Starbucks app, customers can use the ‘Saved Songs’ section in Starbucks Music and tap ‘Play on Spotify’. Within the Spotify ecosystem, customers can navigate to their ‘Saved at Starbucks’ playlist.
