: 1. What kind of protein do you use?

We use whey protein isolate, a dairy‑based protein with a complete amino acid profile. It’s unflavored, has no added sugar, and is not made with gluten‑containing ingredients.

2. Where does the whey protein come from, and what’s in it?

Our whey protein isolate is sourced from cow’s milk and contains just two ingredients: whey protein isolate and sunflower‑derived lecithin to help it blend smoothly.

3. Is this similar to store‑bought whey protein powders?

Yes—with one key difference. Ours is made to blend seamlessly into drinks, with no added sweeteners or fillers.
: 1. How much protein is in each drink?

Protein amounts vary by drink and size:

Protein cold foam: 15–18g, depending on the flavor

Cold foam beverages: 19–26g, depending on the drink

Protein lattes and drinks with Protein‑Boosted Milk: 27–36g

One scoop of protein: about 6g protein, 25 calories, 0g sugar

2. Why does the protein amount vary between drinks?

Each drink is handcrafted for the best balance of taste, texture and nutrition, which means protein levels can vary by recipe.

3. Are there calorie‑ or sugar‑conscious options, and where can I find nutrition info?

Yes. We offer no‑added‑sugar options made with sugar‑free syrups, including the Sugar‑Free Vanilla Protein Latte and Protein Matcha, available hot or iced. Full nutrition details and macros are always available in the app.
: 1. How can I add protein to my drink?

You can customize almost any drink with protein cold foam or Protein‑boosted Milk. Protein cold foam can be added to most hot or iced drinks, and Protein‑boosted Milk can replace milk in any hot or iced dairy‑based beverage. Protein powder isn’t available as a modifier, and Protein‑boosted Milk isn’t offered as a creamer or on its own.

2. Can Protein‑boosted Milk be customized or made with a different milk? Do you have any plant-based options?

No. Our Protein‑boosted Milk is always made with 2% milk and whey protein. It isn’t customizable. For plant‑based options, we offer bottled Koia® Vanilla Bean and Cacao Bean protein shakes, made with dairy‑free, plant‑based protein. You can add one to espresso over ice for a protein boost.

3. Is protein available everywhere, including outside the U.S. and Canada?

Protein drink customizations are currently available in the U.S. and Canada only.

Not at all. Whey protein blends smoothly into hot and iced drinks for a creamy, satisfying feel, and we chose it for the best balance of taste, texture and nutrition.
