From Here – Proudly Serving Seattle Since 1971
For over 40 years, we’ve had the pleasure of calling Seattle home. While we’re delighted to share our coffee around the world, Seattle will always be our beloved hometown. After 41 years, we continue to celebrate this great city at our SoDo headquarters, local roasting plant in Kent, Reserve Roastery in Capitol Hill, and each of our Seattle neighborhood stores. We couldn’t be more proud of our roots – and were prouder still to keep serving the people and communities that have been with us from the beginning.
In 1971, Starbucks set out to offer the world’s best coffee from our first store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market one person and, one cup at a time. Over the years, Seattle has become known as the birthplace of coffeehouse culture and our residents possess some of the most sophisticated coffee palates in the world. Starbucks is constantly striving to find rare and exotic coffees for our customers, always keeping ethical sourcing and the well-being of our farmers as a top priority.
Get the full scoop on how we got started here.
Thankfully you can find us a few more places outside of the Market these days. Explore our great city and visit the restaurants and hotels that proudly brew our coffee.
We’re always looking for the best talent in Seattle.
Join us in our stores or at our Corporate Office and be connected to something bigger.
