Try Our New High-Protein Breakfast Wrap

Just in time to help you reach your goals after the New Year, we’ve added a new wholesome breakfast option in our stores. Inspired by your requests to see more nutritious options, the product development team went to work and came through with the Chicken Sausage Breakfast Wrap.

Our product developer Jacob tested more than 20 iterations of wraps, each with different veggie combinations and flavors, before landing on the perfect mix of ingredients that delivers a breakfast both high in protein and flavor.

The new Chicken Sausage Breakfast Wrap is 300 calories and has a whopping 14 grams of high quality protein. It’s a honey wheat wrap filled with Italian style chicken sausage, cage-free egg white and fire roasted zucchini, mushrooms and red and yellow peppers, tied together with a roasted red pepper and chive spread. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a nice balance of savory and spice.

We still have all your other favorites, of course, including the Spinach Feta Wrap and the Artisan Breakfast Sandwiches. Give the new Chicken Sausage Wrap a try and let us know what you think.

They always seem to be out of this wrap when I want to try it. It must be really good.
I love the spinach egg wrap delish!

I just had this wrap. Literally, five minutes ago. The slopiest wrap I have ever had and hardly any flavor. I am not a smoker so my taste buds are not shot lol. I do not suggest this wrap to anyone.

Not really impressed - it's a good concept, but the flavors are lost behind one dominant sweet flavor (most likely from the peppers), and that's about all you taste. There was no "spice." I don't recommend it.

I too am not impressed with this new wrap - as a matter of fact, it is awful. My Starbucks was out of the apple bran muffin so I decided to try it since I had recently had my favorite classic breakfast sandwich on an english muffin (which is always awesome) twice. The crumbly meat was awful and I didn't like the sweet flavor which covered up everything else. I say can this one Starbucks!!!

I agree. I go to Starbucks about 4 times a week for morning coffee and an occasional sandwich. As others said, the sweetness was too much. I had high expectations on the ingredients but the taste is not what I expected. It could be the honey wheat wrap, chive, pepper combo. For a lower calorie/fat sandwich, I'll still stick with the turkey bacon and egg white sandwich.

How about a gluten free wrap?

I just ate this for Breakfast this morning and I can not praise it enough! A wrap that was healthy without being dry or too chewy was the first component I noticed, and that was immediately followed by the veggies, which I thought were really well spiced and not overcooked. The sausage was delightful. I never found myself thinking, "well, it was good for chicken sausage" as I ate it. The whole thing was well flavored and really tasty. Not sure what others were expecting...

Wow! I had not see this at my usual Starbucks... Went to a different one this morning and Saw it for first time. I have to say it was **** good! Usually I get the classic breakfast sandwich but this had so much more flavor!! Can't wait to see if it's on menu at Starbucks near me.

I loved this wrap! Thought it was the tastiest breakfast sandwich I've had at Starbucks...or anyplace else for that matter. Thanks for providing a healthy wrap. Will definitely be an option for me in the mornings.

I found the wrap to be soggy and tasteless. I am all about everything Starbucks, but this is a miss!

Very good. Mild spicy with nice amt of flavour for wrap. My standard is spinach wrap but will add this to morning option. Still good with egg whites !

I thought the new wrap was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor....also didn't like the mushrooms...too bad I paid $3 for wasn't worth it...I won't be getting it again.

I just tried this new wrap this morning. The sausage was very good - a lot of flavor, but overall, the wrap needed salt! I'm a huge fan of your spinach feta wrap which is perfect as is. Flavor throughout with the feta & sundried tomatoes. I'll probably just stick to that one (unless I have a salt shaker handy).

I was not particularly fond of the the chicken sausage wrap. It was spicier than I would have liked it - the vegetables did not have as much flavor as I thought they should have.

Not loving this one. I appreciate the high protein count and other healthy ingredients, but it doesn't taste good. The spread makes it kind of slimy and also a little too sweet for my taste. I'll be sticking to the Veggie breakfast sandwich.

Bring back the ****** Ranchero wrap please!

    • jenward13
    • 2/10/2012 7:34 AM

It doesn't make sense to call this the high protein wrap when there's more protein in the spinach feta one (spinach feta= 19, chicken is only 14). It's also just not very good. The flavors don't blend as well as they should--veggies are bland, chicken is over-spiced. (It also fell apart inside the bag, but that was just the luck of the draw.) What happened to the southwestern wrap? Rework it with egg whites, add some spice and lowfat cheese, and you've got a winner.

I just tried it for the first time and loved it! Could tone down the sweetness a little, but at the same time it is like nothing out there!

Well done Starbucks! I have a new favorite.

I just came across this on the website and thought it looked SO good. I've not had it yet, but was thinking I might have to make a stop in the next morning or two to get one. Then I went to the page that has the full nutritional info. This wrap contains 700mg of sodium. That's equivalent to 31% of your daily allowance. Seriously?!? I really want to try this, but don't want all that sodium. Guess this one isn't for me!

I just had this wrap today and it was delicious! Yeah the sodium is a little high but I am not a huge salt eater. It was filling, flavorful and the best part is with all that protein is will keep me going till lunch time. This is my new favorite wrap. Thanks Starbucks!

I think it is great Starbucks sells more than coffee. However, I think
Starbucks image would be damaged if they started selling too many
food items. I would hate to see Starbucks turn into a McDonald's
or Burger King. Starbucks needs to focus on selling delicious beverages
and expand their flavors. Having a new flavored beverage every week or
month would keep them gaining attention. Starbucks does not need to
compete with fast food places or even Panera Bread.

Starbucks needs to stay true to their roots and focus on beverages and
not trail into too much food items. Every time I see a new food item
put on their menu it makes me see them equivalent to McDonald's
and that is not good! Please don't lose your value Starbucks!

I really like this wrap but, for some reason, they always forget to make it and I have to go back up to the counter. It doesn't matter what store I go to. At least the last time it happened they gave me a free coffee.
