Try a Breakfast Sandwich for only $2

Everyone has bad mornings – you know the one – you’re running late, skip breakfast, don’t have time to blow dry your hair and arrive at the office with a miss matched belt and shoes. This week I can guarantee no bad mornings, okay well maybe not quite no bad mornings but I can guarantee breakfast will be delicious! January 4-10, 2011 at participating U.S. Starbucks stores when you purchase any hand-crafted beverage you can buy any of our tasty breakfast sandwiches for only $2 (plus tax if applicable & while supplies last).

My favorite is Bacon, Egg & Gouda – its delectable applewood smoked bacon, fluffy parmesan frittata and bakery style artisan roll make this a serious contender for most awesome breakfast. And when paired with a cup of Pike Place® Roast coffee, its pure breakfast perfection.

We’re also serving up:

Veggie, Egg & Monterey Jack – with roasted onions, red & green peppers and parmesan cheese in a fluffy egg frittata and topped with a serious amount of Monterey Jack cheese on our signature bakery style artisan roll.

Sausage, Egg & Cheddar – the quintessential breakfast sandwich but better with premium cheddar cheese and natural sausage on a toasted English muffin and minus that icky feeling you normally get when enjoying a sausage sandwich.

Reduced Fat Turkey Bacon, Egg & White Cheddar – If I were to ever wake up super early to go to the gym this would be my go-to breakfast. With reduced-fat turkey bacon, egg whites and white cheddar on a multigrain English muffin this breakfast sandwich has 18g of hunger blasting protein for only 320 calories! Even with your grande Pike Place Roast breakfast is still under 350 calories.

Give one a try and let us know what you think.

While I enjoyed the artisan breakfast sandwich - veggie, egg & monterey jack - I was barely able to discern any vegetable matter. If you are going to charge the same as you do for a sandwich with meat in it, I suggest you at least have a few more vegetables in a veggie sandwich.

I just the same experience this morning. I could see absolutely NO veggies on the sandwich. When I asked I was told they we mixed in with the egg. In this case there were NONE in the egg. Disappointing!

On the sign it said $2 breakfast sandwich w/ANY drink (it did not specify a size). I was forced to buy a larger size drink than I wanted to get the sandwhich. So I ended up paying $6.25 for my order (1 drink 1 sandwich). I got the sausage sandwich-which was good, but basically just like McDonalds (which is literally right next door). I could've go the same thing (they're advertising 2 sausage & eggs sandwiches for $3.50), bought the size drink I wanted and still paid less. So, not

Curious as to why there needs to be 2 types of cheese in the veggie version. While certainly tasty, I expected something slightly healthier.

I definitely agree with hswymer. As it is, I love the spinach feta wrap, but was excited to see another seemingly healthy vegetarian breakfast option. However, there is definitely too much cheese and not enough veggie in this sandwich. You would expect a "veggie" sandwich option to at least provide you with one gram of fiber. It's sad that an egg mcmuffin from McDonalds has more protein and fiber and less fat and calories than this option from starbucks.

The veggie sandwich is tasty, hate to see the calorie count with all that cheese and I didn't taste the veggies till the the last 3 bites. I think there was 1 small green pepper, and a couple of onions. I agree with the rest, cut the cheese down and put more of the veggies.

@Feistyot - the ham sandwich will be back in stores soon. It's a temporary outage.

Why is the Spinich Feta wrap not included with the breakfast sandwich? It is considered one of the breakfast selections when it is displayed with the other sandwiches?

Picked up this deal this morning and the sandwich was good. My issue was that we were told that Starbucks no longer carries ketchup. Bummer...

While the sandwich was okay..the coffee was not! What is up with the "instant" by the cup coffee? It tastes weak.

I ordered the sandwich after my card as swiped for the drink and they charged me FULL price, so much for running specials.

What happened to my favorite Ham and Cheddar Artisan sandwich? I don't like the gouda or bacon/turkey bacon :( No more Starbucks breakfast for me...

I went to two different StarBucks on two different mornings, and both were out of this. I have no idea if it is good or not, as I was never able to try it. No rain checks either. I take it many enjoyed the sandwich as it sold out.

I purchased Oatmeal this morning which I love Oatmeal I paid $4.25 which could have been a box from Walmart with **** and fruit. Starbuck breakfast is toooo high for the taste.

I wish there were more veggies in sandwich, like mushrooms and spinach. Otherwise, it was tasty. As for the turkey bacon, it's like eating cardboard. I enjoyed the old bacon breakfast sandwich that you discontinued. Sad times. :(

I have had all three sandwiches and would like to see more veggies in the sandwich but all three are delicious.

It was good, I prefur a dinner roll style bread though. I am not much into the biscuit breads. I really wanted to add a spread of grape jelly but they don't offer such common foods.... to bad, it would really spice up the flavor. Maybe its my way of hiding the starchy flavor biscuit . Overall, I can tell its quality for what it is.

Ordered the *ahem*...veggie breakfast sandwich. It was small, expensive and not filling and as stated above no veggies to be found. They should call it the egg and cheese sandwhich. Not at all the quality I was thinking it was going to be and borders IMHO on false advertising. How about some sauteed vegetables that are actually visible in the sandwhich.

I also had the very disappointing experience of the "veggie", egg and cheese sandwich. I finally surmised the veggies were the flakes and darker spots on the eggs. I'm very sorry, but this is a joke. I will not be buying this sandwich again in its current form.

I wasn't that impressed with the veggie sandwich but the bacon gouda was pretty decent. The turkey bacon English muffin was delish- but higher calorie than I like to go for a breakfast sandwich (especially since I'm ordering a drink every morning as well). It was the most filling and largest of the three, by far! I thought it was great. However, the spinach feta wrap will always be my healthy-yet-tasty favorite! Only 280 calories and loaded with protein! I wish it had been included in the

Very tasty, but should keep the $2 price. There's no way I'm buying one of those for full price. The price of drinks is killing me enough!

I am addicted to the bacon artisan and turkey bacon sandwiches! Sometimes I skip Bagel Friday at work (with free bagels and Bruegers ***** cheeses, people) just because I can't resist the Starbucks breakfast sandwiches.

I tried one this past weekend in Winter Park, CO. Maybe because Winter Park is a ski resort it is more expensive but my boyfriend and I paid $9.50 for 2 sandwiches plus an additional $11.00 for our drinks. Ouch. We should have gone to a sit down restaurant instead.
