My Favorite Bold Coffee #1 – Yukon Blend®

People often ask me, “What’s your favorite coffee?” I tell them it’s hard, like trying to choose your favorite child (for you parents out there). At any given time, we have 20 or so different coffees in our whole bean lineup. Light- and dark-roasted, blends and single-origin offerings from every corner of the coffee world. From earthy and spicy Sumatra , to smoky-sweet Italian Roast, to the vibrant acidity and brightness of our Breakfast Blend… how could I pick just one?

But I can pick just one. And for me it’s Yukon Blend®.

Yukon has a long history in our coffee lineup. It was blended on a request from one of our first customers as a way to keep his fishing crew happy in cold northern waters. This blend of vibrant Latin American and deep, earthy Sumatran coffees is as approachable and unpretentious a cup of coffee you’ll ever find.

While it was specifically blended to warm bellies on cold arctic nights, this hearty, bold, well-rounded blend is a versatile coffee suitable for any occasion – my personal favorite being a chilly spring morning with a maple donut.

We’re truly excited to share this coffee with you as our first Bold Pick of the Week. While it’s available on tap next to our Pike Place™ Roast throughout the week, you’ll have a great opportunity to compare and contrast two of our finest offerings. Be sure to stop by one of our stores to try it for yourself – I know where I’ll be stopping on my way to work.

I "LOVE" this Yukon organic blend. It’s full of flavor; but not acidic. Yukon coffee is exciting and energetic. This all-around coffee is great Hot or Cold depending on my weather. I was raised in Seattle and when Starbucks opened, I wanted to be one of the first in line. Thank heavens you followed me to California!

I really enjoy Yukon Organic ! Definitely my favorite, but it's difficult to find in the shops here in Colorado.

I find myself troubled this P.M., albeit tolerable trouble. My buds have been spoiled (forever?).......The smooth taste and flavor delivered by the 'magic press' clover is now available in a Starbucks shops 2 blocks from my home, AND another, a very short drive from my home. Now I expect all parts of my day to be like my clove coffee. Mistake. Upwardly recalibrating expectations is double-edged, bittersweet, and can even get you dirty looks. Oh well. let ' ** eat donuts.

Great coffee for the outdoor hikes and birding...we enjoyed this organic blend with blue skies and warm winds on our way around West YellOoowstone last week. The eagle pair flew overhead as i sipped a cup by the Madison Riverside perch I lighted upon...later another cuppa warm Yukon brought about the parade of bison, large and small, quick and slow, dozens after dozens passed as I sipped and sipped away. Yum for the eyes and spirit!
