Introducing Starbucks Mobile Pour

We've all been there. You’re walking down the sidewalk with a huge craving for Starbucks coffee with no time to find a location and buy one (no "there’s a Starbucks on every corner" jokes, please).

What if the solution was as easy as whipping out your smartphone to have one delivered to you without missing a step?

Well now it is that easy, inspired by your ideas on we’re proud to introduce the exciting new Starbucks® Mobile Pour service that puts baristas on scooters. In seven of the largest cities around the country, we’re sending out two scooter baristas per every square mile to ensure speedy service.

We've even made ordering easy with our Mobile Pour app for your smartphone. Simply download it, allow it to pinpoint your location, select your coffee order and keep walking. Your fresh, hot Starbucks brew will be in your hands before you can say abra-arabica.

What's more, the Starbucks® Mobile Pour is only the first exciting development of our new mobile replenishment strategy. In the coming months we'll be introducing several other exciting (can you say "mall" and "rollerblades") initiatives that make getting your Starbucks coffee easier than ever.

Oh MAN, @kms0172--you're way too good. And here I was desperately trying to figure out which seven cities were hosting this awesome new addition. The imagination was going on overdrive--my reaction was arguably an explosion of excitement. Curse you, April Fools! ):

I can say without a doubt, I would not be surprised if this were real, but I pray to all the gods and goddesses in the heavens that it is not. Starbucks employees already have enough to deal with on a daily basis, having staff cut down to nearly nothing and all kinds of pressure to sell, sell, sell.

I think they should have mobile trucks that go around from business to business (think like the mobile roach coach, but for coffee.) If a mobile van pulled up to my office out in the far western suburbs of Dupage Co, they would have a line every morning!

      In reply to:

This type of service actually does exiists! Working at IBM in Upstate New York, we had a Coffee Truck ( privately owned by a local Coffe Shop, not Starbucks!) come by every morning to serve all the 'ostracized' smokers standing outside the Main Entrance (not being able to smoke in the cafeteria). We smokers enjoyed this service for 3 yrs.,till IBM moved all smokers away from puplic view. NOW THERE'S A BUSINESS VENTURE (idea) FOR STARBUCKS. and it's not 4/1/11 anymore either as

I like the mobile truck idea. They could use them to test out sites for new stores! Somebody at Starbucks had better hire!
