Earthwatch expeditions are not tours or vacations. They are working research projects that deal with critical environmental and cultural issues. If you are selected to participate, you will be expected to work and stay with the expedition team for the entire length of the program.

Winners must be available for one of two expeditions, including travel time. The expeditions themselves run August 4-17 and August 25- September 7, 2008. If you are selected, you will embark on an experience of a lifetime. No special training is needed, just a desire to learn, engage with others and make an enduring contribution to the environment.
