 Making a positive change in the world. Volunteers who join an Earthwatch expedition become active members of a field research team. Those selected for this year’s expedition will be working with the farmers of CoopeTarrazú to help them better understand and manage their land. Not only will participants be conducting research that will encourage more sustainable and environmentally sound farming practices, they will also get to eat, learn and celebrate with scientists and coffee farmers in one of the world’s most beautiful regions. As anyone who’s been an Earthwatch volunteer will tell you, the work is physically challenging, but immensely rewarding. No special training is needed, just a desire to learn, engage with others and make an enduring contribution to the environment. |
