Starbucks Supplier Diversity Program

Our commitment to diversity reaches beyond Starbucks to include the vast network of suppliers we work with.

By actively seeking out women- and minority-owned businesses to purchase from, we help build prosperous communities in diverse neighborhoods. We believe our Supplier Diversity Program has been a great success, and we’re happy to report that the amount of business we conduct with diverse suppliers grows every year.

In addition to our buying practices, we support supplier diversity through various community outreach projects sponsored by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), such as opportunity fairs, business development roundtables and scholarships for executive leadership programs.

We believe that Supplier Diversity is a smart business decision. Canvassing to include diverse suppliers helps us identify the high quality products and services to drive the Starbucks Experience across all of our channels of business, while driving value and economic development in the communities we serve.
