How We'll Make a Difference Together
Approximately 500 Starbucks partners (employees) and customers from across ten cities in the UK and Ireland will join together to make a difference. These cities include: Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, London/Notting Hill, London/Westminster, Birmingham, Belfast, Cardiff, Leeds, and Dublin.

The day will feature skills master classes and meaningful volunteering projects in hubs around Westminster and Waterloo, and then culminate with a celebration of the day’s achievements and sharing of experiences. Community service projects will focus on: literacy, refurbishing schools, neighborhood renovations, as well as technology, gardening and painting projects.

This Community Day will be delivered in conjunction with NGO UK Youth, with support from the Irish Youth Foundation.

Rain or Shine, We'll Be There
Events will take place rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Wear clothing that is comfortable and safe, and that you do not mind getting dirty or worn. Outdoor, closed-toe work shoes or running shoes are a must and feel free to bring your favourite pair of work-gloves to round off your attire for the day.

Registration Is Required
Please register to participate as space is limited. This will help us ensure you have a positive volunteer experience. T-shirts will be available at the event for registered participants, so please arrive early for your choice of sizes.

We look forward to serving with you. In the meantime please visit us at starbucks.co.uk.

About UK Youth and the Irish Youth Foundation
UK YouthUK Youth is a leading national youth work charity supporting over 750,000 young people, helping them to raise their aspirations, realise their potential and have their achievements recognised via non-formal, accredited education programmes and activities.

Irish Youth FoundationIrish Youth Foundation's mission is to provide opportunities for children and young people facing adverse and extreme conditions to experience success in their lives. Whenever possible IYF seeks to address the underlying causes of poverty, educational disadvantage, homelessness and social exclusion experienced by children and young people. Due to a wide range of social factors many children are denied their most basic rights – the right to a decent education, the right to be supported by caring adults and the right to a way of life that is free of fear and discrimination. We passionately believe that achievement starts with opportunity.

Starbucks Youth Action Kicks Off in London

Global Month of Service UK Project

On April 5, Starbucks UK and Ireland launched a three-year partnership with UK Youth. Over 300 enthusiastic partners (employees) from across the United Kindgom and Ireland came to London to join 150 young people and participate in community service projects in Westminster, Waterloo and Pimlico. Altogether, we contributed more than 1,200 hours to our goal of 200,000 during the Global Month of Service.

This project kicked off Starbucks Youth Action here – a youth development program designed to inspire, equip and empower young people to bring community projects to life in their local areas.
