Starbucks Reserve® Perú Aladino

Our latest Starbucks Reserve® coffee has bright citrusy flavors with rich toffee notes and a nutty sweetness. Yum – and yet all-too-fleeting. Since only 190 burlap sacks of this coffee were produced, your opportunity to enjoy it is quite short.

Why such limited availability? This coffee is from a single, small farm owned by one remarkable man: Aladino Delgado. His operation in Peru’s Chantali district is using the latest in innovative, sustainable agronomic processes. The astonishing beans taking his name are the result.

Happily, Mr. Delgado is sharing his knowledge and processes with the other coffee farmers in Chontali. About 15,000 people live here, and most of them rely on coffee to make their livelihoods. By raising the quality of all coffee from this region, Mr. Delgado will help these farmers – and make sure that, next time, we have more of this wonderful coffee to enjoy.
