Named for the fireflies that cast a glow on summer nights, La Candelilla Estate is nestled high in the Talamanca Mountains in Southwest Costa Rica. Here the Sánchez siblings, fifth-generation coffee farmers, share a family tradition of excellence.

From growing the seedlings to processing the beans and delivering them to port, the family oversees each step of the coffee’s journey to ensure its quality. For this offering, the best cherries were culled from the first harvest on the estate’s nine farms. The result is bright citrus notes that lean towards the sweeter side, finishing with a creamy mouthfeel and chocolate notes.

We have acquired beans from La Candelilla Estate for a number of years, and the quality keeps getting better. The Sánchez family’s dedication to quality paired with the region’s natural richness reward us with this delightful coffee that we are particularly excited to share.
