I know this app is v1.0; but for 9MB and no widget nor PayPal support, seems a little off. Also, there's no double-tap on the map.

Windows Mobile 6.5 (not Windows Phone 6.5) is no longer a supported OS from what I have read, I believe the Windows Marketplace for WM6.5 is shut down now as well. Time to get a WP7 device. I used to use WM6.5, they'd be hard pressed to make this App run on that software... and it would be a waste of programming time/effort as that OS is end of life...
A Windows Phone 7 App would be greatly appreciated though, it's the only App left on my list that I need on my device to make my day complete.
Will this be made available for Nook Color? It runs Android, but many Android apps are not available at the Barnes and Noble app store.
nook color running android 2.3 (cyanogen 7.0.3 sd card) also fails - Starbucks app thinks its a either a nexus or galaxy S and says it's incompatible when I try to install.
...and without a widget!!! Please add one!

I've downloaded the App but when I try to log in I get an error that "unexpected error occurred. Please try again or come back later." That's been happening all day :( Haven't been able to access it - Samsung Captivate 2.2
I think Samsung phones in general are having trouble with this app, my Epic 4G is having the same issue, and review on the Market are saying that many Galaxy S phones are having trouble...FWIW, I think the release of the official app is a response to My Coffee Card Pro being free on Amazon yesterday. Too bad the official app is so sorely lacking...
I have an Epic as well, and I haven't had any trouble from the app.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G and the app works great, no problems. I would like an app available for a Windows 7 Phone though, and one for Nook Color as well. Hopefully, they are on the way. :)
Got a new Samsung Infuse 4G SHG-i997 a few days ago and tonight I downloaded the Android app with no problems.
I get the same error message on my Nexus One.
I'm getting the same error: "unexpected error occurred. Please try again or come back later." on my EVO 4G. I even tried updating to new version of app 1.0.1, also deleted and reinstalled, no luck.
Same for me on my EVO. Uninstalled, reinstalled, no luck.
Same thing here with my EVO....was so excited to have the OFFICIAL APP - but I'm going back to the MY COFFEE CARD app - it is much better!!!
Same here on my Evo 4G. Starbucks needs to take their app developer to task for this. It sounds like it only works on about 1/2 of Android OS phones.

same here. it worked with the previous android version then i updated to the new one and i get the same error mssg. realy ****** right now.
Site continues to say "force closure" come back later. Have not been able to log on after the initial sign up. Very disappointing. Any suggestions?

I have an iPhone 4 and a Nexus One. I just installed the app on the Nexus and now my card is gone from my iPhone. Questions: Why can't I use the card on either phone? How do I get the card back onto my iPhone? Thanks! j

Fantastic to see an Android version. I do have a question though. My Starbucks Card(s) work here in the UK and in the US/Canada. I can pay with them wherever I am. My login also works across both starbucks.com and starbucks.co.uk. When will the Android app be available to non-US Markets so that I can use it in the UK as well as when I'm in North America? Thanks so much...
Please, please, please make this app available in Canada. I have a motorola Razr and every time I go to the google play store it says this app is not available in Canada! Even though there are advertisements at most Starbucks locations I go to.

I have the t-mobile mytouch 3g and i haven't been able to sign in either, getting the same message above: "Unexpected error occurred. Please try again or come back later." I'm sooooo excited this app is finally here, just please fix it!!
Worked great! I don't have an ultra fancy phone and I have one of the worst carriers and I had no issues. I'm sipping the coffee I just purchased with my phone using my Red Card as I type this... thanks Starbucks!
As soon as I installed it on my HTC Droid Incredible, the low memory warning came up, and no matter what I did by turning off other apps & services, it stayed in the warning. As soon as I deleted the Starbucks app, the warning cleared up. (The only other thing that consistantly did this was Flash 10.3) I've since loaded and successfully used My Coffee Card with no problems. Starbucks needs to rethink/retool this really "needy" Android app.
BTW, I am PeninaScullion, no idea why this had joeellet as the name on my post. How odd, even this Starbucks forum program is not working well?
Just bought my first Venti Chai Creme Frappuccino and it worked great, but it desperately needs a widget that shows balance and rewards points and a touch here to pay button. Shouldn't have to navigate to a different screen for each function.

Not bad, but I'll keep using the My Coffee Card app until the official Starbucks app includes a widget that puts the current balance, rewards points, and "pay now" link right on the home screen.

Have attempted to dowload this app several times to my smart phone and each time have been told no device associated with this account. Does this app work for smart phones like the Samsung Galaxy S

Can't add card to phone. it comes back saying the card is registered to someone else.

I thought it was funny that "My Coffee Card" in the Android Market from birbeck has been out for a while and yet took Starbucks HQ this long to come out with your own... Things needed 1) Totally agree with the widget comments 2) password protect the payment option 3) barcode seems a little small. Thanks again!
it says my card is registered to another account. i had already added my card to my coffee card app already, is that why? i can only register my card with one app?
I have it registered on both apps simultaneously.
Oh, and My Coffee Card IS a MUCH better app but I need to use the official app to reload my card, as I don't trust some random developer with my CC info :)
Looking forward to the Windows Phone 7 App. I hear it is not that hard to create. I bet there are enough Microsoft folks there in Seattle to even help deliver it.
Wow, I wished this worked. HTC EVo with newest updated Android (2.3.3). I've uninstalled and re-downloaded twice. Been waiting a long time for this.

Agree, disappointed new Android app only available in the USA. What about Canada! Vancouver is the Starbucks capital of Canada! Only 2 hour drive from Seattle WA which is home of Starbucks.
I'm using the Starbucks App on my Android, and would prefer having the "Recent Transactions" listed newest (top) to oldest (bottom). Just a thought, and hope you might incorporate in future updates.
I have an HTC EVO 4G and was very excited about downloading this app but after all the horrible EVO comments I'm gonna wait until they fix the bugs and people say it's working correctly. Too bad....
Evo Shift here. I just got my phone a little over a week ago, and the Starbucks app was the first app I downloaded. It worked fine the first few days, but I've been getting the error message ever since. Kinda bummed.....hope they fix it asap!
I have an EVO as well and was super excited about the app. Much to my dismay, I started having a problem a few days after I downloaded it. The scan function works, but when I try to update the balance it never refreshes, and when I try to log in, I get the "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later". Really bummed...please fix it!!!

What is the version that was released to correct the Force Close error? I have version 1.0.3 - which according to the Android Market is the most current version.
I upgraded my T-mobile Mytouch 4g to Android 2.3.4 and now the starbucks app is broken. It says it failed to initialize and asks me to retry or try later. Nothing works.
Paying for you coffee with your mobile phone is a great idea! However, I've only used it once due to the location of the scanners at Starbucks that i visit. I don't like the idea of handing over my phone to the employee to scan when its takes the same time as using a Starbucks card. If mobile phone payment is something Starbucks is trying to push, then have the scanners in a better location within arms length of the customers. Thanks.

I just tried to use this on my HTC Evo 4G. I have been using it for several months with no problem, but was completely embarrassed today when I tried to use it and it kept saying "force close, try again later." Well, I was in the line then, not later. What happened to this app?!

The Android version SUX. I cannot logon and get a multitude of different errors depending on what it wants to squeal about at the time. "This application requires network connectivity"...funny that I can surf at the same time. Another common error "an unexpected error occurred.Please try again or come back later." I also have issues shutting down the App as it NEVER wants to exit on it's own. This is a poor deployment managed deployment and as a shareholder since 2008 I expect better from SBUX.

I don't like that I can't use the application at drive thru's! Application is awesome otherwise. But not very convenient if you can't use it at the drive thru!
I have IPhone today when i went to reload my card i saw there was a paypal option. But I can't find anywhere to ling my paypal account. So how can I link paypal???

Definately! There is no reason to limit to the USA.
there should be an option to "log out" of your account. just in case your phone gets lost/stolen someone is not able to use your account. Great security measure.

We tried to load this on my boyfriend’s Samsung S glide today ..... it came up that he needed an operating version 2.1 and above! So the app is incompatible .... wrong his operating system is 2.3 ...so anyone have any suggestions or was it just a bug in the system today...having just converted him to a smartphone and him suddenly seeing the benefits of the gold card (so now has a starbucks card to get to that status) he’s keen to go wireless:)
Why can't I use my iPhone app through the drive thru's, or at least if it is liability issues could you have scanners that reach outside to my phone, its a huge inconvenience.
I have Windows 7.5 and really wanting an app for it. C'mon Starbucks! Get to it! I have personally spent enough in your coffee houses in the past ten years to cover all the development costs. I enjoyed the Android version of the App, but alas, that phone was a WinMo 6.5 and I rooted it to a Frankendroid. But with the hard ware issues the poor phone has, I upgraded to a Nokia 710. Used to have (still do) a HTC HD2. So Puleeeze Starbucks, hook a brotha up!

I have a HTC Thunderblot and the app is on the phone. I just loaded it and signed in but there is no place to sign out. When will you be putting this feature in the app? After a while it says it has timed out, but I can still use the app and it did not time out. This means anyone who has my phone can use the Starbucks to purchase items. Not that I loan my phone out.
OK, so Kudos for at least having an Android app and it does work fine on my Galaxy S II. But what's up with the serious lack of features compared to the iPhone app? It's like day and night in comparison. And still no PayPal option after all this time?

Personally, I believe there should be a log out option; no matter what medium is used to access.
