Starbucks.com Goes Responsive

Have you noticed a difference in the look and feel of Starbucks.com when you pull up the site on your cell phone?

Over the past year we’ve noticed a big change in the way you’re getting to Starbucks.com – more and more often, you’re visiting us on your mobile and tablet devices instead of your laptops or desktops. Great news, but the trouble was, the experience on our website wasn’t ideal for these devices – until now.

Like many websites, when you viewed Starbucks.com on a phone or tablet, the words, links, and menus were too small, and it was cumbersome to zoom and scroll your way around the site. With the help of Responsive Web Design, a new approach to building websites, Starbucks.com is now easier to use on a wide range of devices and screen sizes.

This post you’re reading, and almost every other page on Starbucks.com, is now built in a flexible manner that is optimized for almost any device with access to the Internet. We also made sure that our videos work whether you have Flash installed or not.

So whether you’re looking for a Starbucks store nearby on your tablet, checking your balance from your cell phone or sending a Starbucks Card eGift to a friend from your laptop, we got you covered.

Here's my idea...with our cell phones being registered in your dbase now (by way of setting up our accounts here), would it be possible to declare a store as our home store and send in our orders from our phones with an estimated arrival time? That way, we can possibly bypass the waiting lines (especially where drive thrus are in play).

Ap doesn't work on my iPhone 4. Each time I log in, it kicks me out. Quite frankly, it BLOWS.

I would like to be able to get to my money that I loaded into my account - how about it?

Try this. Double click on the HOME button. It will display the menu below showing which apps are currently running. Go ahead and hold those apps (this will not delete the app, it will just CLOSE OUT of it). Again, not on the main screen. Double click the home button, and you will notice your apps that are currently being used will display. Hold down and X out. Now try clicking on the app and see if it still kicks you off.

        OR

Shut your phone off and turn it back on.
