I’m super excited to introduce the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino® blended beverage, coming to Starbucks for the very first time on September 6. You’ve been asking us for a new, amazing flavor – and here it is!
This beverage strikes the perfect flavor balance with our rich mocha sauce, toffee nut syrup, coffee, fresh milk and ice. Then we top it off with a buttery caramel drizzle and a sprinkle of sugared sea salt topping.
Some people who have tried it are saying it’s “the best Frappuccino® blended beverage we’ve ever had at Starbucks.” Pretty bold statement, huh? Well, now you can try it for yourself, and we want to know what you think!

I loved the last beverage that had the salted caramel but my starbucks was always running out of the salt : (
Funny, because the exact same thing happened to me! Every week I would look forward to my salted caramel hot chocolate in the winter, (AMAZING!) and they would never have any salt so they couldnt make it! I was crushed each and every time:(. Please make sure to have an abundance of salt in each store to prevent this from happening again.
The same thing happens to me everytime as well. I was addicted to the salted hot chocolate there for awhile as well, and everytime they would say "We're out of the salt. But, we can make you one without the salt." to my reply "Is'nt the point of it being a salted hot chocolate ,to have salt? So, if you make it without the salt would'nt it just be a regular hot chocolate?"
Can we get it with white mocha instead?
You can order a white mocha frappucino now! it's just not explicitly on the menu.

Being a Very Loyal Customer for 21 years (I get 3-4 Reward Drinks a month) I think that Starbucks should have a Sea Salt in bulk and offer it also on the condiment bar for drinks that we'd like to add salt to our self (like Hot Chocolate) and to sandwiches, etc.
I'd like to see them get all new syrups made from raw sugar and palm sugar which are both healthy. What they serve now is all chemicals derived from natural sources (mostly) but become unhealthy chemicals when they are processed.
There is no 'healthy' sugar. Sugar is sugar. And the only sugar they add to drinks is the flavored syrups which are made from water+sugar+flavorings. It's not "all chemicals". The sugar-free syrups yes are made with artificial sweetener (most likely Splenda brand) which is derived FROM sugar (it is chemically different).
I think she is talking about white sugar, which IS worse than other purer sugars. It is bleached and does contain chemicals. There are better sugars....
Yes, sugar is most definitely not sugar in this day and age, so that statement is about 5 decades outdated (at least). And as for splenda, don't be fooled by the "derived from sugar" spin. It's made in a lab by applying a tri-chlorine molecule to sugar. So adding chlorine to sugar, kind of a game-changer wouldn't you say? Tons of people, myself included, have all kinds of adverse reactions to splenda (look up splenda + welts on the internet for one insidious example). Avoid it!
I wish they would start carrying Stevia for sweetner. Everything that I have read, it is a healthy alternative to sugar. And it comes in many different flavors.

I was shocked at the deliciousness of the salted caramel hot chocolate several years ago. I was hooked but then the sea salt disappeared. Multiple requests ended with the news that the salt was no longer available. Disappointed is a huge understatement.
Now that I've tried the new Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino, I am again in love and agree its the best coffee drink ever! I've been a loyal customer for 11+ years, patronizing Sbux as often as five times per week. PLEASE KEEP SALT AVAILABLE!!
the salt disappeared because it was a winter promotional beverage. but because we know that you and tons of others enjoyed it, that is why it has been back every winter since its launch. and dont forget you can get it as a hot chocolate. AND dont forget that if you can get past the not having salt thing, you can still order it year round, it just wont have salt.
The nutrition info for the light version says it has SF toffee nut syrup. The stores in my area say that it doesn't exist. Is the nutrition info wrong or are my stores? Please help! I'm hooked and need to know how to count the "points" for this drink!
Hi amerz5, this was an error on our website and we have corrected it. Unfortunately we do not have sugar-free toffee nut syrup.
I got an email advertising the light version and was disapointed when I went to the store and they said they could not make it light. I would love some more light variety. I don't see why you don't offer more sugar free syrup options?
people dont order toffee nut a whole lot anyway, so i really doesnt make sense you make it in sugar free. and you can get it light. it will be made with the light base and non fat milk. this is what all of the light frappuccinos are. none of them are sugar free, they are just reduced sugar. there are 4 sugar free options of our 4 more popular flavors. think about this, excluding mocha, white mocha, and chai, there are 8 flavors (including classic), 4 of those come in sugar free. 1/2 comes SF
Tried it this morning. It was too sweet for my taste buds. I am in mourning over the loss of the Coconut Mocha. BRING BACK COCONUT MOCHA'S please. :)

It was my favorite too, although I order all Frappuccinos with HALF SYRUP, and this new one most definitely needs it if you want to really enjoy the flavor vs. the uber-sugar sweetness. I will say though, for the half syrup drinks I've ordered, the Salted Caramel one actually tops the Mocha Coconut even flavor-wise! I'd say try it half syrup, give it another chance. :-)
Thanks for not bringing back the Caramel Bruleé Latte and Frappuccino. THAT was the best Frappuccino y'all ever produced.

The Caramel Brulee Latte is the best!! I think they usually have it at Christmas time but wish I could get it all year round.

Is the calorie count listed for this with whipped ***** or not? There is no option to include/remove it.

OMG!! I am So in LOVE with this drink!! I have "my" flavors at Starbucks that I enjoy but this one is one i'm willing to say I am totally crazy for. Lol. Please never ever get rid of it!! It must become a starbucks staple! :-D

I have to say it was terrible. It was too chocolaty, too sweet, had a chalky after taste to it that coated my tongue, and a bit of cookies and creme flavor behind the chalkiness. It was just a disappointment...I ended up throwing it away...could not finish it at all
As a plain Jane, I usually grab a quick iced coffee and throw some half and half milk in with it and head out the door. However, when I sampled the Salted Caramel I was in LOVE. I could drink it all day long. The toffee syrup in there is subtle yet sweet and makes the entire drink delicious in my opinion. But I love anything chocolately and nutty, and the caramel ties it all in! :)
I love this new flavor I think it is the best as well, I hope it sticks around forever!!
Hot options. Fraps are nice, but, this could replace my morning routine as a macchiato or straight mocha. What a taste!
Seems like having salt in coffee is really catching on. A recent NPR news described a new coffee shop in Irvine CA (85C) selling sea salt lattes!
I really miss the mocha coconut frappucino - please bring it back or another coconut flavor? I have no reason to go to Starbucks anymore since it has been gone. All other drinks now seem boring.
OMG! BEST frap Starbucks has EVER made yes!!! Best thing to ever hit my taste buds! Feels like my taste buds and the frap are in love! Hope its here to stay and not a seasonal thing!! I get mine skinny and am loving it! Starbucks needs to direct more focus into more healthier drinks and food on their menu and then I would love love love them forever!!! No one needs that much sugar and fat in their food & drinks!!! America is so unhealthy let's step it up Starbucks!!
I didn't realize it was a frap as well, can't wait until you're open tomorrow to try one. I have been ordering the salted caramel mocha hot b/c that's what's being advertised. I also had no idea that it was toffee nut syrup - fantastic! Now I know what to order year round :)
This is my favorite beverage now I love it and my mom had a sip of mine. She also loves it and that is a very rare occurrence.
Okay Starbucks, you did it. I am converted. I admit you did an amazing job with this drink and I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on your menu. The salted caramel chocolate creme is my favorite and the salted caramel hot chocolate amazing. PLEASE KEEP THESE!!!

First off, while I love the frappuccinos, I try to avoid them due to the calories in them.So I ordered this as just an iced coffee drink. It was AMAZING. Hands down, my favorite Starbucks drink ever!!
So I beg of you, please provide nutritional info for the salted caramel mocha as an iced drink please!

Salted Caramel Mocha Frap is good but the BEST ever frap was the Mocha Malt Frappucino... coffee, chocolate, malt powder, milk.... BRING THESE BACK PLEASE!

I love this salted caramel drink in a frapp and its better as a iced latte but it really ***** when I go order one and they ALWAYS say o we are out of the salt! Is that OK? They ask. And no its not I love that sweet and salty taste. So I ask one lady the last time if there is any chance they ever have it.and when I was waiting she then said o someone just found it in the back. They just never stalk up in front and say they don't have any all the time. That can loose customers u know. But yea
The salted caramel mocha light Frappuccino is my favorite flavor ever! Thanks for making a light version, because I HATE whipped cream and I like that the light kinds are perfect for a snack and not too rich. I just wish you'd have it all year long!

I would love to have the MALTED Mocha Frap back!! Yummy warm weather treat. My Starbucks in northern VA saved canisters and several die hards got to enjoy this favorite drink for a while before it dissapered from Starbucks. I would also like to be able to purchase Mocha Powder again!!
