My Favorite Bold Coffee #6 – Café Estima Blend®
I admit that I tend to judge a book by its cover. And by that I mean in the coffee world, I sometimes judge a coffee by its bag. (Come on, we all do it sometimes!) And when I noticed the bright and colorful design of the Café Estima Blend® a few years back, I had to buy it right off the shelf like I would do at my local bookstore.
That was in January 2007. The coffee was smooth and velvety back then, and it still leaves that same memorable dark-roast taste with a lasting sweet finish on my tongue today.
Yet something is different this year. Café Estima Blend® is now packaged in an orange-colored bag. It’s part of a new promotion of three Starbucks™ Shared Planet™ coffees that highlight our partnerships with other organizations. Café Estima Blend® is Fair Trade Certified™ and the new, colorful packaging tells how we work with Fair Trade groups to help improve the livelihoods of coffee farmers.
Estima means “respect” in Spanish and Café Estima Blend® truly lives up to its name. Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? I did and I know I got it right this time.

I used to like sumatra, but now I also love estima, it taste greeat!!!
