My Favorite Bold Coffee #1 – Yukon Blend®
People often ask me, “What’s your favorite coffee?” I tell them it’s hard, like trying to choose your favorite child (for you parents out there). At any given time, we have 20 or so different coffees in our whole bean lineup. Light- and dark-roasted, blends and single-origin offerings from every corner of the coffee world. From earthy and spicy Sumatra , to smoky-sweet Italian Roast, to the vibrant acidity and brightness of our Breakfast Blend… how could I pick just one?
But I can pick just one. And for me it’s Yukon Blend®.
Yukon has a long history in our coffee lineup. It was blended on a request from one of our first customers as a way to keep his fishing crew happy in cold northern waters. This blend of vibrant Latin American and deep, earthy Sumatran coffees is as approachable and unpretentious a cup of coffee you’ll ever find.
While it was specifically blended to warm bellies on cold arctic nights, this hearty, bold, well-rounded blend is a versatile coffee suitable for any occasion – my personal favorite being a chilly spring morning with a maple donut.
We’re truly excited to share this coffee with you as our first Bold Pick of the Week. While it’s available on tap next to our Pike Place™ Roast throughout the week, you’ll have a great opportunity to compare and contrast two of our finest offerings. I "LOVE" this Yukon organic blend. It’s full of flavor; but not acidic. Yukon coffee is exciting and energetic. This all-around coffee is great Hot or Cold depending on my weather. I was raised in Seattle and when Starbucks opened, I wanted to be one of the first in line. Thank heavens you followed me to California!
I really enjoy Yukon Organic ! Definitely my favorite, but it's difficult to find in the shops here in Colorado.
