I read this first thing this morning and totally fell for it. Totally. I only just realized it NOW. I feel stupid...and crushed. :P
I can say without a doubt, I would not be surprised if this were real, but I pray to all the gods and goddesses in the heavens that it is not. Starbucks employees already have enough to deal with on a daily basis, having staff cut down to nearly nothing and all kinds of pressure to sell, sell, sell.
I think they should have mobile trucks that go around from business to business (think like the mobile roach coach, but for coffee.) If a mobile van pulled up to my office out in the far western suburbs of Dupage Co, they would have a line every morning!
This type of service actually does exiists! Working at IBM in Upstate New York, we had a Coffee Truck ( privately owned by a local Coffe Shop, not Starbucks!) come by every morning to serve all the 'ostracized' smokers standing outside the Main Entrance (not being able to smoke in the cafeteria). We smokers enjoyed this service for 3 yrs.,till IBM moved all smokers away from puplic view. NOW THERE'S A BUSINESS VENTURE (idea) FOR STARBUCKS. and it's not 4/1/11 anymore either as

great ! I just added $200 to my starbucks account. I plan to have my 17 employes have their 'coffee fix' delivered at the front door of my building every monday thru the spring and summer. hopefully this gets them at their desk on time and ready for work.

I used this app when I was on vacation in downtown denver and I found 15 libations within 4 blocks of my hotel!! Complete paradise. I think I went to about nine of them :)
