What's New
Every Mother Counts
I am thrilled to be partnering with Starbucks again for Every Mother Counts 2012, an incredible compilation album featuring 19 songs. Most are inspired by motherhood, some by parenthood, but all benefit community-based maternal health programs around the world.
Through Every Mother Counts 2011, thousands heard our mission to reduce preventable maternal deaths and improve maternal health worldwide. While selecting artists and songs for the first album, we couldn’t resist gathering names for a second, and I am so happy that we did! This year, we broadened our vision to include male artists (fathers) as well, because our mission is something that everyone who values mothers can support to make a lasting impact.
We Live Together, Let’s Give Together
Starbucks baristas and customers have been supporting communities together for a while now. Whether it’s working side by side at community service projects or making contributions to disaster relief efforts, we’re proud of what we’ve done and are looking forward to how much more we can still achieve.
The Starbucks App is Now Drive-Thru Friendly!
Hey! Mobile payment through the Starbucks app is now accepted in our drive-thrus! You told us that you wanted this super fast way to pay in our drive-thrus as well as inside the store, and we’re excited to deliver.
How to Enjoy a Free Drink this Weekend
We know Starbucks Tribute Blend® is a special coffee, and so do you. In fact, we’ve never had so many people ask for one of our limited-edition coffees to come back. If you haven’t tried this beloved coffee or revisited it this year, now is the time.
***Update 3/30/12 - It's back for the weekend in U.S. stores. Buy a pound of Starbucks Tribute Blend or Starbucks VIA Tribute Blend this weekend (March 31 and April 1) and receive a free tall (12 oz.) handcrafted beverage. Enjoy!
Starbucks.com Goes Responsive
Have you noticed a difference in the look and feel of Starbucks.com when you pull up the site on your cell phone?
Over the past year we’ve noticed a big change in the way you’re getting to Starbucks.com – more and more often, you’re visiting us on your mobile and tablet devices instead of your laptops or desktops. Great news, but the trouble was, the experience on our website wasn’t ideal for these devices – until now.
Starbucks Receives Green Energy Accolades from the EPA
We’re proud to announce that Starbucks has come in at #7 on the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Top 50, a list ranking the top renewable energy purchasing organizations in the United States. Last year, we purchased Green-e® certified renewable energy credits equal to more than 421 million kilowatt-hours of green energy – enough electricity to power more than 50% of our company-owned stores in the U.S., or over 33,000 US homes for a year. 100% of that energy came from wind power. We’re honored by this recognition, but while our commitment to supporting green energy is unwavering, our primary goal is to reduce the energy and water used to operate our stores. Learn more here.
Everylove on Every Cup
This Valentine’s Day, join us in the celebration of everylove – that is, all of the relationships in your life. Not just the romantic ones. In the spirit of everylove, we’re having some fun with our free Cup Magic mobile app.
A New Way to Navigate Our Coffees
Not all coffee drinkers are alike. Some like a dark and bold cup, while others prefer a lighter roast. Here in the Digital Marketing team at Starbucks we’ve been busily transforming our website, so that when you visit us at Starbucks.com, finding the coffees in our collection you’re sure to love is a cinch.
In conjunction with the introduction of the Starbucks Roast Spectrum and the Starbucks® Blonde Roast – a lighter roast profile for coffee drinkers who like a milder cup – our coffees are now classified by our roast profile: Starbucks® Blonde, Medium and Dark. If Pike Place® Roast is your preferred brew, for example, browsing our medium roast coffees might lead you to your next favorite.
Introducing Starbucks® Blonde Roast, the Newest Addition to our Coffee Family
I always look forward to my morning coffee, whether I’m sluggishly heading out the door on a Monday morning or cozily settling in after a weekend stroll in my Seattle neighborhood. While I love to explore our different coffees, I tend to stick to a balanced cup, like Pike® Place Roast. My husband, on the other hand, loves the darkest of dark roasts – the bolder the better. And then there’s my dad, who, while he treasures his morning coffee, typically finds some of our coffees a little too dark for his tastes.
Starbucks Digital Network Welcomes TakePart
The Starbucks Digital Network is honored to announce a new content partnership with the influential social action network TakePart. TakePart’s Take Action: 30 Ways for 30 Days monthly action calendar is now a regular feature on our My Neighborhood channel. If you’re currently connected to the Starbucks Digital Network, you can view the calendar here. Each week we highlight a simple daily action from the calendar that we can all take to inspire change, such as saying “Hello” to a stranger or donating a tweet to a good cause. 30 Ways for 30 Days is a great spur for positive social change. We’re excited to take part, and hope that you are too.
