Starbucks Coffee Company has made the decision not to charge a service fee for inactive Starbucks Cards. Starbucks is committed to providing legendary customer service and innovative products to its customers.
Starbucks never assessed the $2.00 inactivity fee, and by eliminating this service fee Starbucks believes that the customer experience is further enhanced when giving, using, and reloading the Starbucks Card.
The language on the current Card states that there may be a $2.00 monthly service fee collected on Starbucks Cards that remain inactive for twelve months. The terms and conditions printed on the back of the Starbucks Card will be changed to reflect this decision. Since Starbucks prints cards several months out, you will see the change in the printed versions in the spring of 2004.
