We're excited that you want to explore furthering your career here. As part of your job search, you do not need your manager’s permission to apply for a job. However, you do need to inform them as he/she is a key resource as you explore potential career opportunities at Starbucks and they can offer you guidance through the process. He/she will be contacted for a reference during the interview process. The requirements below pertain to partners applying for positions other than Barista, Shift Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, and Store Manager.

Before going forward, here are the requirements to consider:

  • You must have been in your current job for at least 12 months.
  • You must be performing at a Meets Expectations (ME) or better at the time that you apply for the job.
  • You must not have been on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) within the last 6 months.

What to Expect

We're committed to making your job search a Green Apron Experience. We'll start by sending you an email to let you know we received your application.

Then our recruiters review all applications and select those candidates whose skills most closely match the position's requirements.

If you are selected to interview, you can expect to have two to four interviews with hiring managers, team mates, cross-functional business partners and other decision makers. If you are not selected for interviews, we'll let you know in approximately three weeks.
