Starbucks Coffee Company offers a limited number of internship
opportunities to students during the summer months. Internship positions are available to currently enrolled college students, typically juniors and seniors. Available internship roles vary each year, depending on our business needs.
The focus of the college internship program at Starbucks is to deliver a legendary experience to our interns through meaningful work that contributes to the development of the student as well as to the growth and success of the company.
The majority of our internship opportunities are located at our main office, the Starbucks Support Center (SSC), in Seattle, Wash. The program takes place in the summer months, typically June through August, and includes a blended approach to work experience. Interns can expect to be immersed in the Starbucks Experience and “coffee culture” by the industry leaders in the specialty coffee market. Internship program work is specifically designed to provide the intern with cross-functional experience, where applicable, and offer the candidate the opportunity to demonstrate his or her knowledge and acquire the skills necessary to perform in a global corporation. Beyond work experience, interns can expect to acquire coffee knowledge and participate in various events in the Seattle area. Currently we do not offer internships outside of North America.
In keeping with our commitment to partner (employee) development and job growth opportunities, our internship program focuses on providing such opportunities to internal candidates first. While we do focus on providing our partners with the first opportunity to apply for internship positions, from time to time, we are unable to locate a suitable internal candidate and must look outside the company to fill the position. Available internship roles will be listed on our Career Center site and will have “intern” in the job title. Opportunities are usually posted in late winter / early spring. We update our job listings often, so please check back regularly.
